Este artigo apresenta, sob forma de revisão bibliográfica, 1) os conceitos e princípios básicos do Sistema Toyota de Produção, 2) Sistema de Manufatura Enxuta, descrevendo seus elementos principais (desenvolvimento de produto; cadeia de fornecedores; gerenciamento do chão de fábrica; serviços pós-vendas). Destaca ainda uma proposta conceitual baseada nos princípios fundamentais da manufatura enxuta.Referências
